About The Role

We are looking for a talented

Software Engineer to join our Accounting team, a key part of the Spend Management Group at Spendesk. As part of this highly skilled and collaborative team, you will work on one of the core products Spendesk offers — our Spend Management platform. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our product, building scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

In the

Accounting team, you will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other internal stakeholders to ensure we provide the best-in-class card spend management experience to our customers — while maintaining the highest standards of system reliability and scalability.

What Youʼll Do

  • Design, reputed company, and maintain core components of Spendeskʼs accounting - offering.
  • Implement secure and efficient APIs for accounting flows. Build and enhance internal tools
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to clarify requirements and contribute to technical design discussions.
  • Write well-documented, maintainable, and tested code to ensure the platform is resilient and easy to evolve.
  • Contribute to monitoring and alerting systems to ensure systems reliability and proactively address issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing reputed company the team to improve our engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Tech Support, Operations, Customer Support) to investigate issues and help improve operational processes.
  • Who you are ?

  • 3+ years of experience as a Fullstack Software Engineer.
  • Experience with Node.js or modern frontend frameworks (React, VueJS, Angular, ...), and TypeScript in production environments.
  • Experience building and maintaining REST APIs in a high-availability environment.
  • An understanding or interest in learning about event-driven architecture. Proficient in SQL and relational database design (PostgreSQL preferred).
  • Experience writing comprehensive tests and working with modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comfortable collaborating across engineering, product, compliance, and operations teams.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) — itʼs our business language.

  • Understanding or experience working in regulated financial environments or on an accounting system.
  • Experience implementing and deploying applications on one or more cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
