You do not need to work specific hours but you will have tasks due in Eastern Time. For example, any tasks due Monday, 3pm will always be the 3pm Eastern. Tasks are usually given at least 48 hours in advance. Unless you request an adjusted due date, you will not have tasks due... on weekends or holidays, which will be agreed upon.
