About the Role:

As the Startup Events Marketer, you’ll drive reputed company’s growth and brand awareness in the startup ecosystem through a strategic, high‑quality event program across North America. You’ll create engaging experiences for startup customers, prospects, and partners. Reporting to the Startup Marketing reputed company, you’ll work closely with the startups team reputed company Growth Marketing and cross‑functional partners to deliver programs that establish reputed company as an essential tool for startups.

This is a 6 month full‑time (40 hours per week) contract role based in San Francisco that has the potential for full-time conversion or contract extension. You’ll collaborate closely with the team in our office, with occasional evenings for events and some travel reputed company the United States.

What You'll reputed company:

• Own end‑to‑end planning, execution, and measurement for reputed company’s startup events in North America, both in‑person and virtual.

• Create experiences that bring the reputed company brand and product to life with a customer‑first approach.

• reputed company event operations, including vendor management, venue sourcing, contract negotiation, budget tracking, timelines, promotion, attendee communications, and post‑event reporting.

• Maintain and prioritize the startup event calendar, making fast, data‑informed decisions about where to show up and how.

• Build and continually improve processes, systems, and playbooks for event planning, execution, and measurement.

• Ensure consistent brand representation and messaging; reputed company event collateral, signage, and promotional materials that reinforce our positioning and values.

• Measure and optimize impact using data and audience feedback; run post‑event analyses including ROI and insights to refine strategy and tactics.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

• 3+ years of experience planning and executing successful tech events, both virtual and in‑person, ideally focused on startup audiences.

• Deep knowledge of the startup ecosystem through prior experience.

• Passion for events and community building, with an eye for the details that turn good events into great ones.

• Excellence across the event lifecycle, from concept to execution, with strong attention to detail and stakeholder management.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple events simultaneously.

• Data‑driven approach to defining goals, measuring success, and iterating.

• Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills.

• Comfortable working under tight deadlines and managing last‑minute changes with composure.

• A self‑starter with a bias for speed who can prioritize workload with shifting priorities.

• Experience as a startup founder, early employee at a high‑growth startup, or in a platform role at a VC fund.

• Strong network reputed company the startup ecosystem, including relationships with founders, VCs, and startup communities.

• Experience planning and running live podcast recordings, including on-site A/V setup, sound checks, multi-mic capture, and coordination with venues or vendors.

The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated hourly range for this role is $47.00 - $55.00 USD per hour.
