• Leads Commission on Cancer (Coca) Accreditation activities including running studies for data analysis.
• Provides recommendations on studies' protocol feasibility and marketing.
• Assists the Department Supervisor with Quality Assurance Reviews by providing data analysis to stakeholders and reviewing other team members' data.
• Suggests opportunities for improvement.
• Directs the training of new hires. Orients, educates and trains appropriate personnel.
• Performs accurate and complete case ascertainment.
• Collects and interprets information on each reportable case.
• Codes, classifies and indexes stage of disease and treatment information.
• Maintains a maximum abstracting delay of 6 months from the initial diagnosis/contact.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Associate's Degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• College level Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology required.

Certifications:

• Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) by the National Cancer Registrars Association.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of five years of experience in case abstraction and successful completion of Coordinator, Tumor Registry II position (consistently maintains productivity and quality assurance targets, demonstrates ability to multi-task abstracting duties and administrative duties).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to reputed company work in a stationary position for extended periods
