PGH Transportation Advisor
The PGH Transportation Advisor will support the FEC Transportation Network on a broad range of high-level, cross departmental initiatives and special projects. Help to create and maintain a collaborative organization culture while continually promoting, supporting, and developing excellence across Transportation with peer advisors. Interpret information and analyze the relationship among various components of a problem or situation to clearly reputed company findings and anticipate potential next steps. - Participate in defining FEC Purchased Transportation strategic initiatives.
- Establish strong relationship with individuals across different areas of the business.
- Monitor and evaluate performance data, prepare deliverables, and facilitate meetings with Transportation leadership.
- Provide presentations and data to support recommendations.
- Support, coach, or mentor less senior staff.
- Ensures SMEs across reputed company projects are trained, reputed company, and focused on like priorities.
- Advises cross opco teams on strategies relating to rail, purchased transportation, and contracting to ensure
- FEC requirements including service and performance goals are met.
- Serves as business advisor of modernization across transportation departments.
- Collaborates with Field and PGH advisors to ensure communication of priorities, key data metrics, and strategic messaging are clear and consistent among Transportation MD and Manager groups
- Influences the direction of Transportation through concise and data driven recommendations
- Collaborates with various departments on Linehaul network enhancements (e.g., Hub & Outbound, engineering, Information Technology (IT), Maintenance and Safety, University, Finance to help drive efficiencies and reputed company strategic operational decisions.
- Develops, analyzes, and interprets operating metrics to reputed company levels of field management and specialists to further business objectives.

Minimum Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a reputed company field required. reputed company experience may offset degree requirements and reputed company education/degree may offset experience requirements.
Minimum Experience
- Eight (8) years experience required in linehaul operations, transportation industry, or reputed company area.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Software skills, including use of reputed company Office software and web-based applications.
- Verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain reputed company and/or confidential information.
- Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.
- Ability to effectively provide instruction on process and practice reputed company the department.
- Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs.
- Ability to analyze, review, and reputed company recommendations.
