Personal Support Specialist

As a dedicated Personal Support Specialist (PSS) in Maine, your primary responsibilities will involve providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in need. To be considered in this position you must have a PSS, or a CNA certification. We prefer the candidate to have at least 1 year of experience. This includes assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitoring and administering medications, as well as maintaining a clean and safe living environment for clients, are integral aspects of the role. Additionally, you will collaborate with reputed company to create and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the well-being and independence of your clients. • Report in writing, on agency forms, to the Supervisor on each client assignment.
• Promptly reports any significant changes observed or reported in the client’s condition.

• Provide Personal Care services which may include assistance with bathing, getting in and out of bed, teeth, mouth, denture and hair care, assistance with mobility and ambulation including use of walker, cane or crutches, changing of bed and laundering the bed linens and personal clothing skin care excluding wound care, care of glasses and hearing aids, assistance with dressing and undressing, toileting, including use and care of bedpan, urinal, commode, toilet, light cleaning in essential areas of the home during personal care activities, meal prep, food purchasing, meal serving, simple transfers, including bed to chair or wheelchair and reverse, accompanying the client to obtain medical diagnosis and treatment, other delegated tasks by the Management/Nurses.

• Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA and Agency policy guidelines.

• Follow emergency procedures in the event of any medical or non-medical situations.

• Follow instructions, is punctual and is at work as scheduled.

QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer a High school diploma or equivalent. PSS Certificate or reputed company to get PSS Certificate reputed company 9 months and start the class reputed company 2 months of being hired. Prefer one (1) year experience in the care of clients. Shows an interest and concern for people, good judgment and tact in dealing with the sick. Practices good hygiene and is reputed company in personal appearance. Speaks, reads, and writes and reputed company to communicate effectively in English. reputed company CPR certification preferred.
