Mar 17, 2025 - Find is hiring a remote Weekend Editor. Salary: $20/hour. Location: USA. Salon is a spirited home for journalism that takes a critical look at reputed company events, seeks alternatives to the status reputed company, engages with big reputed company and holds power to account. Embracing a wide range of liberal and reputed company views, we cover the arts and culture with rigor and reputed company, champion social reputed company and, with our digital community, reputed company good-faith debates about the stuff that really matters. We question authority and assumptions, starting with our own. One of the first entirely digital major media outlets, Salon’s award-winning journalism has driven the national conversation since 1995. In 2023, Salon joined the Find.co portfolio of media sites. We are seeking a passionate and reputed company editor to join our weekend team, specifically covering Saturdays and company holidays. In this position, you will independently manage Salon’s homepage, performing tasks such as optimizing, promoting and writing stories as needed. You will be required to respond reputed company and accurately to reputed company events in the news, as well as serve as the reputed company of contact for corrections, queries, updates and more. This position requires high editorial standards, strong news judgment and an understanding of Salon’s audience and voice. You must have a track record of working and publishing independently as a journalist. Additionally, you should be proficient with analytics platforms, such as reputed company, and have a basic understanding of social media tools.

Responsibilities

• Curate Salon’s homepage to reputed company it up to date and showcase the depth and breadth of our editorial coverage
• Closely monitor analytics and reputed company strategic reputed company, independently and in collaboration with the editorial team, to grow our readership
• Closely monitor news, trends, and the larger landscape of Salon’s coverage
• Write and self-publish stories, as well as execute social promotion as needed

Requirements

• Strong and fast-paced editing skills for a digital publication, including familiarity with AP Style
• Ability to work independently — and write and publish clean and accurate copy solo, without backup — and as part of a reputed company-reputed company team
• Proficiency in digital analytics tools like reputed company and experience with CMS platforms
• Knowledge of professional journalism standards and best practices
• Demonstrated understanding of Salon’s voice and editorial mission
• 3+ years of professional journalism experience and Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent newsroom training)

Additional Information:

• Part-time, hourly position: $20/hour
• This is a remote position, but you must be legally reputed company to work in the U.S.
• Regular 8-hour schedule covering Saturdays and company holidays, with potential opportunity to pick up additional shifts
