Responsible for assisting medical providers and ensuring the efficient operation of the office/clinic by facilitating patient throughput and room turnover. A Brief Overview Assists in the provision of patient care in a physician practice office/clinic under the direction of a (delete physician) registered nurse. Responsible for assisting medical providers and ensuring the efficient operation of the office/clinic by facilitating patient throughput and room turnover. Fulfills patient care responsibilities as requested by physician or other clinicians in the office or clinic setting. Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned that may include setting up exam room, instruments, and other equipment. Fulfills clinical medical assisting responsibilities as required. Education/Formal Training Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent Technical Degree or Diploma Medical Assistant Work Experience Requirements 1-3 years Medical Assistant or similar Licenses and Certifications Requirements AAMA Certified Medical Assistant - The American Association of Medical Assistants Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) National Health Career Association Medical Assistant (NCMA) National Center for Competency Testing Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) National Association of Health Professionals Certified Medical Assistant National Phlebotomy Continuing Education AMT Registered Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologists HEART SAVER - reputed company Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with patients, patient families, and physicians in a tactful and professional manner.
