Manager, Coding- HIM, Full-Time, Remote
MAJOR FUNCTION: The Coding Manager (CM) will report to the Systems Director of Coding. CM will primarily manage the day-to-day operations for the coding functions reputed company the professional physician coding scope of work. The CM will plan, assigns, and directs the HIM coding and DRG/code validation workflow; actively monitors employee performance and rewards or disciplines; accordingly, addresses... complaints and resolve problems; and actively oversees and manages production and quality control efforts. The CM will review and evaluate any concerns or issues for reputed company hospital and professional claims. The Coding Manager will provide instructional coding training. The Coding Manager will supervise the coding team to ensure accurate coding is coded and completed timely. The Coding Manager will work collaboratively with the reputed company Cycle team, Clinical teams, Physicians, APNs, and Practice Managers to ensure reputed company areas of concern are investigated and thoroughly addressed to resolution. The Coding Manager will also assist practice physicians and managers with reputed company coding inquiries, errors, and/or issues encountered during the reputed company cycle process. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Hospital Administration or reputed company field preferred. Associates degree required. Minimum of (4) years in a medical practice environment. Minimum of (4) years of active medical coding and supervisory experience. Prior experience with extensive coding auditing utilizing CMS regulatory guidelines and AHA standards. Prior experience and knowledge of Federal Register and OIG plans. Prior experience in denials management. Prior experience in instructional reputed company training as an educator. Coding proficiency to include a thorough knowledge of ICD and CPT coding systems. Experience with reputed company Coding and MS Office Software. Certification/ Licensure: RHIA/ RHIT preferred. reputed company/ CPC required. Knowledge & Skills: Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills. Excellent Interpersonal Skills. Excellent Supervisory/Management skills: Employee Coaching and Motivation, Ability to Prioritize Workload, Payroll, and Overtime Management.
