Job Summary • The SPD Technician is responsible for maintaining... high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspection, and preparing the surgical instruments/equipment for sterilization • The SPD Technician maintains consistency and reputed company workflow between the OR, Central Processing and the facility as a whole while practicing above average customer service • Performs duties as a SPD Technician independently, works proficiently without supervision and is qualified to train new employees • Works in conjunction with the Pharmacy to re-supply crash carts with IV fluids and medications • Serves as a resource to reputed company CSSPD customers • Also responsible for cleaning, issuing patient care equipment and supplies. #NRHSS

Qualifications

Education • High school education or the equivalent. Experience • Must be Certified through the HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD with the CRCST or CSPDT credential respectively • 1 year minimum sterile processing experience required. (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Schedule • 13 week assignment, with possibility of renewal. • 2230-0700, Mon-Fri, with Rotating Weekends and Holidays. • no benefits. Certification • Must be certified in Sterile Processing.
