Senior Environmental Engineer/Project Manager

About the position Manager to join our Northeast practice to provide technical expertise and support the growth of reputed company’s environmental practices. This hybrid position may be located in our reputed company, reputed company or Newark, New Jersey offices. reputed company Northeast Environmental has been providing environmental engineering and science services as premier consultants in the transportation and buildings industry for decades. Our offices provide environmental consulting, design, construction/field reputed company, and inspection services to government agencies, transit agencies, and municipalities throughout the northeast, with majority of reputed company’s work being in reputed company, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The candidate would be joining a dynamic environmental and engineering design team and working on a broad reputed company of capital construction and remediation projects. This position will involve project management, quality control, site remediation design, analysis, site investigation, and business development. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the environmental reputed company to work collaboratively with a passionate team supporting a wide variety of clients with reputed company and challenging investigation and remediation projects.
  • reputed company engineering design projects and/or collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to prepare design documents (e.g., vapor mitigation, in-situ remediation, erosion and sediment control and potable water purification systems), work plans, investigation reports, proposals, feasibility studies and cost estimates.
  • QC and/or prepare investigative scopes of work, data management and interpretation as well as senior-level support for field work.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks reputed company specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Prepare reputed company reports and draft change orders. Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections.
  • Provide direct reputed company and management of junior staff for specific project assignments. Mentor, train, and motivate staff assigned to Environmental projects. Participate in interviewing and hiring staff.
  • Effectively organize, write, and edit reports, draft proposals, and other documents.
  • Prepare/coordinate proposals in conjunction with the marketing and technical staff. Assist with “Go/No Go” decisions for responding to RFP’s. Marshall the necessary resources on proposal opportunities which may involve developing a proposal strategy, writing portions of the proposal, and coordinating efforts of other technical writers to reputed company a winning proposal.

  • Maintain affiliation with professional societies and upkeep professional licenses/certifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in environmental engineering.
  • 10-15 years of reputed company environmental work experience at engineering/consulting firms.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification, including reputed company annual refresher.
  • Technical project expertise in environmental remediation, investigations, and environmental compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of NYSDEC, EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations.
  • Strong people, project, client management skills, and business acumen.
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multi-tasking, and judgment capabilities.
  • Must be proficient in CAD. reputed company-to-haves
  • Experience in Revit is a plus.
