Job Description

  • Develop and implement global customs compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to international trade regulations.
  • Manage import and export activities, including classification, valuation, and country of origin determination.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements and other international trade regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including logistics and supply chain, to streamline processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on customs compliance matters.
  • Maintain relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
  • Stay updated on global trade policies and inform the organization of any changes that may impact operations.

The Successful Applicant A successful Global Customs Compliance Manager should have:

  • Strong understanding of U.S. Customs and international trade regulations.
  • Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management within the industrial and manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to manage compliance challenges effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for managing customs compliance and trade operations.
