Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Operator to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI. As a Data Entry Operator, you will play a critical role in processing claims and updating/correcting file information through telephone and/or written contact. Position Description:

As a Data Entry Operator, you will be responsible for: - Entering claims and/or eligibility records into the system to process claims and update/correct file information through telephone and/or written contact, using proper grammar, punctuation, etiquette, etc. - Retrieving and reconciling information in files when claims are rejected by the system - Determining whether inaccurate data should be updated, routed, or adjudicated - Correcting and updating claim information entered through the optical scanning or data entry process - Maintaining related departmental records and files - Operating office equipment, which may include a personal computer, copier, fax machine, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must possess: - A high school diploma or equivalent - One year of work experience in an office environment - Ability to enter a minimum of 7,000 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy (6,650 correct keystrokes per hour) - Successful completion of a data entry test sponsored by Human Resources within the past 12 months (test waived if candidate currently holds or has previously held a position which meets this requirement)

Essential Qualifications:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in a dental or healthcare-related field - Familiarity with claims processing and eligibility systems - Certification in data entry or a related field - Bilingual or multilingual skills
