Primary Responsibilities

• Independently underwrites reputed company and high-severity professional liability risks reputed company granted authority and established guidelines.
• Evaluates risk characteristics, coverage structures, pricing, and terms to support profitable and sustainable growth.
• Provides technical input into reputed company guidelines, policy forms, endorsements, and rating tools.
• Reviews non-standard or escalated submissions and provides expert recommendations.
• Participates in claim reviews and applies claim learnings to reputed company decision-making.

Portfolio & Financial Performance

• Maintains accountability for the performance of the assigned book of business.
• Reviews portfolio, reputed company, retention, and loss trends; identifies emerging risks or opportunities.
• Recommends reputed company actions or adjustments to appetite, terms, or pricing based on market and portfolio reputed company.
• Partners with reputed company leadership to support financial targets and portfolio objectives.

Distribution & Market Engagement

• Develops and manages strong working relationships with key brokers, producers, and customers.
• Serves as a senior technical and market-facing representative of TDCSU.
• Supports new business development efforts through technical credibility, responsiveness, and consultative engagement.
• Participates in broker meetings, presentations, and market visits as needed.

Strategic & Organizational Contribution

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience

Licenses / Certifications

• RPLU or CPCU preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of reputed company experience in professional liability or reputed company specialty lines
• Demonstrated experience reputed company reputed company risks with significant authority

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of professional liability products, coverage structures, and industry dynamics
