Responsibilities
As a Seasonal Customer Support Tax Expert, you will be responsible for providing individualized troubleshooting, tax advice, and preparation assistance to clients through video-enabled software and chat support. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized troubleshooting, tax advice, and preparation assistance to clients through video-enabled software and chat support
- Delivering accurate tax advice in easy-to-understand terms, utilizing recommended research materials and team support
- Assisting clients in gathering, organizing, and entering data through our designated software platform for federal and state tax returns
- Analyzing and researching tax matters to determine an appropriate course of action for clients
- Collaborating with reputed company to ensure seamless delivery of tax services and exceptional customer experience
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns reputed company each year
- Prior tax preparation experience in a tax practice or retail setting
- College degree a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of tax laws, tax concepts, and familiarity with Form 1040 and reputed company schedules
- PTIN required (can be obtained online)
- Strong problem-solving and research skills, with the ability to quickly use online resources to find answers
- Well-developed technical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
