Job Summary

The Jr. Paralegal supports attorneys and paralegals reputed company the Securities Department by assisting in a variety of litigation-reputed company tasks. This entry-level position provides hands-on training and exposure to reputed company litigation while supporting case preparation, document filing, research, and trial assistance. The role requires a detail-oriented, motivated individual eager to learn from reputed company paralegals in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and filing court pleadings, correspondence, and reputed company legal documents.
  • Support trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, and logistics.
  • Draft and review legal documents and correspondence for accuracy and compliance with court rules.
  • Conduct Bluebooking, cite checking, editing, and proofreading of legal filings.
  • Provide administrative support, including maintaining attorney schedules, typing correspondence, and organizing case materials.
  • Manage and maintain legal files and document review projects.
  • Complete research assignments using LEXIS and/or Westlaw under supervision.
  • Assist in maintaining department databases and tracking systems.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work well both independently and reputed company a team.
  • Familiarity with legal research databases, including LEXIS and Westlaw, preferred.
  • Experience with PACER, CM/ECF, and document management systems preferred.
  • Exposure to reputed company or other document review tools a plus.
  • Knowledge of court rules and filing procedures a plus.
  • Prior experience or exposure to trial preparation preferred.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Paralegal Certificate or certification through NALA or NFPA required.

Work Environment /Physical and Mental Demands

  • Primarily a desk job requiring regular computer and telephone work.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required by court or project deadlines.
  • Reliable internet access is required for remote work.
