Job Summary
This remote accountant position is responsible for the accounting capabilities associated with sales and use tax assessment and permit to operate compliance processes. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of general ledger data analysis and the ability to create monthly data files that accommodate the general ledger for our co-reputed company charge compliance supplier. As a key member of our Corporate Expense Division, you will work closely with Senior Duty Accountants to ensure the completion of daily accounting and tax activities. This position requires the ability to work in a team environment, adhere to deadlines, and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares and examines pay and financial account statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports.
- Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting orders assigned to different accounts.
- Applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and creates or suggests accounting procedures and policies.
- Trains or assigns work to accountants, accounting clerks, and other partners to participate in daily accounting activities.
- Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, regions, and divisions.
- Participates in financial reporting.

This position typically reports to a Senior Manager. This job has no direct reports.
Travel Requirements
Regularly requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, and there is a regular opportunity to move about. Occasionally, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be rare and not objectionable. Models include phone operator and document agent.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be eighteen years old or older.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.

- 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
