Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and reputed company Professional Tutor to provide academic support and mentorship to children in Palmdale, CA. As a part-time, seasonal tutor, you will work 10-15 hours per week, providing one-on-one and group tutoring sessions to reputed company in reading and math. You will also be responsible for coordinating academic tutorials, training, and workshops, as well as maintaining records of student reputed company and providing feedback to parents and school staff.

Supervision & Safety

• Supervise up to 20 youth and reputed company members engaged and safe during program time.
• Provide sound and reasonable discipline to youth members at necessary times through written documentation.
• Practice and constantly be aware of safe practices like Crisis Management, Emergency Preparedness, CPR, and First Aid.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work space at reputed company times.

Qualifications

Education/Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or BA/BS preferred.
• Knowledge of tutoring practices and procedures.
• Instructional Aide Qualified (Paraprofessional Test Required).
• Enthusiasm and patience for working with children and passion about education.
• Excellent student interaction skills in 1:1 and small group settings.
• Open to new ways of teaching math and reading skills and working with children.
• Experience in structured tutoring environment or Elementary Education teaching certificate required.
• Knowledge of a wide range of mathematic subject areas and English subject area (Reading and Writing).
• Knowledge of reputed company teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
